So, you want to grow your preschool dance program?
There’s the way everyone else is doing it, and then there’s the better way.
What's the number one thing dance studio owner's forget?
Teaching dance is your business.
You’ve no doubt invested time, effort and money into developing and refining your dance studio business.
But all the marketing, planning, and systemizing in the world isn’t going to help if you don’t have exceptional teaching in each and every class across your whole studio.
If you want to build a dance studio empire, you need solid foundations – you need a solid preschool program.
You need a joyful, educational, rinse-and-repeatable preschool program.
That's where we come in 🙋🏽♀️
What’s the problem with preschool dance?
The ______ addresses a longstanding problem in the dance education industry: dance teachers often teach how they were taught… and let’s be honest, in many cases, that isn’t a good thing.
The days of drill-and-skill teaching are over.
Parents are actively avoiding dance studios that aren’t with the times. They’ve experienced first-hand the damage that can be done by untrained and harmful dance teachers, and they don’t want that for their kids.
They want fun, playful, imaginative, supportive, and caring dance classes for their kids.
But they’re also conscious consumers.
Why pay for dance classes where they’re just popping bubbles and playing with a parachute or doing a ninja warrrior-style obstacle course. They can do that with their kids at home for free.
Parents of today – those amazing and easy-to-deal-with parents that YOU want at your studio – want professional, playful and purposeful dance classes for their kids.
’m going to show you how to do it, and make it easy 🪄
The days of drill-and-skill teaching are over. We know that children learn best through play, but what does that look like in dance?
Engagement is all the rage, but where’s the line between engagement and education. And PS, it isn’t edutainment – I’ll explain why SO many dance educ
Not all dance programs are created equal.
Over the last 5-10 years, I’ve been watching something interesting unfold in early childhood dance education.
In the well-meaning quest to provide engaging and educational dance classes, a lot of dance educations programs have fallen into the trap of edutainment – education disguised as entertainment…
But, there’s a problem. Because, in most cases, it’s actually the opposite. It’s entertainment, presented as education.
Popping bubbles, playing with parachutes, the same ninja warrrior-style obstacle course in every. single. class. 3 to 6 year olds in the same class working on the same content year upon year with no progression, skill-development, or challenge. And don’t even get me started on the Sleepy Bunny song.
Now look, there’s nothing inherently wrong with each of these things. But, if this is what’s holding your preschool dance classes together, you don’t have a preschool dance program. You’ve got something else. You’ve Frankensteined a bunch of quick fixes and gimmicks that waste time and make it look and feel like kids are on task and learning… when really, they’re not.
If you don’t want to risk being seen as a glorified babysitter, you need to make sure your that your offering actually teaches dance.
Dance teachers are not glorified babysitters.
We are educators.
It’s time to give your teachers the tools they need to succeed in their dance classes.
When teachers go into class confident and armed with a plan, it helps students achieve big.

Not really. We’ll explore research and theories from psychology, child development, education, sociology, and beyond.
While the content is more focused on early childhood (under 8 years), the knowledge and strategies can be applied to teaching all ages – even adults – and it can be applied to any dance style.
And I get super excited about figuring out ways to bring the Leap ‘N Learn method into different dance contexts – from tap and acro to hip hop and Highland dancing!
We can cater to any studio context, whether you’re a strictly ballet focused studio, you want to offer different dance styles in your early years program, or combo classes. That’s the point of this mentorship. It’s about helping you to integrate and implement what you learn to suit your studio so you have a truly unique program.

Meet your mentor
Hi, I’m Elena!
Solving dance teaching problems is my idea of a good time.
Dance teacher, studio owner, curriculum developer, with a PhD that explains what we teach in children’s dance classes and how we do it…
I’m Autistic and ADHD… and it’s pretty easy to see that dance is my special interest area.
I love research, problem-solving, and helping the dance world become a safer, more inclusive space.
When I’m not helping dance teachers and studio owners, you’ll find me training calisthenics (I’m this close to unlocking my full stalder press), bouldering, reading sci-fi, learning Spanish, and planning my next trek.

💛 I want to provide specialised training for a teacher on my team but I cannot fit one more thing in my calendar. I’m ready to invest in outsourcing training to a professional.
💛 I run my business as a one-person show. I want to really nail down my teaching methods and program offering before I hire and train a team.
💛 I have a program director or main teacher who runs my early years classes. I want tailored professional development to develop their skills so the program can thrive.
💛 I hired a younger or less experienced teacher who is the perfect cultural fit for my business, but I don’t have the time to mentor them. I need them to teach excellent classes with minimal input from me.
💛 Leap ‘N Learn is on my radar. I’ve seen your content and training online or in workshops and it makes sense! I want it in my studio but I’m not ready for licensing just yet.
-
💛 I’m in it for the long-run. I know I make a big difference in people’s lives. I want to deepen my skills, knowledge and impact.
💛 I need support. I don’t get much guidance at the studio/s I work at. I feel like I can’t ask my studio owner questions about my classes because they’ll think I’m not capable. I want to learn more and be a better teacher.
💛 I’ve taught for decades, but the things that used to work aren’t working anymore. I want to learn new ways to do what I love.
💛 I know I’m a good teacher, but I’ve never had the chance to do much formal teacher training. I want to learn more about teaching and learning from a recognised organisation so I can be truly confident to charge my worth.
